Sampy (“Sampy”/”we”/”us”) provides this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) to inform you, the user, (“you”) of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information (“Personal Information”) and the data we collect, do not collect, store, and do not store, from users. Sampy respects your privacy, and is committed to protecting such Personal Information. The Policy applies to you and all users who use Sampy. Please see the Sample Terms of Service at for additional user terms and conditions. We protect the identities of our participants. We will NOT use your personal data to advertise, promote, or market goods or services directly to you and we do not allow our clients to market directly to you. "Personal data" means information that by itself - like your likeness, first and last name, home postal address or personal e-mail address - or in combination with other information, could identify a specific individual.

INFORMATION COLLECTION & USE

In order to facilitate the sending and receiving of samples, gift cards, and applicable to products and/or services provided by, our partner merchants/brands ("Partners") via Sampy, during the registration process you provide us with information about you and others in your household. This may include your name, mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail address. You also provide us with demographic information such as gender, birthdate, marital status, occupation and other information. We may also (but may not) request more detailed demographic information such as race or ethnic group.

This may include information directly provided by you, or provided via your authorization of the Facebook Connect service. Such information includes your name, Facebook name, Facebook ID, city-level location, e-mail address, gender, birthday, and number of Facebook friends. We may also collect your Twitter handle or other social media ID, social media profile picture or avatar. We collect your shipping address to send your samples to you, and also your phone number, to provide you with transactional notifications and to authenticate your account. We collect other brand- or product-related information such as your child’s birthdate, if you provide that information.

We also track areas of interest, including: the types of offers that interest you; campaigns you participate in; newsletters you subscribe to; information about friends who refer you or whom you refer; information about how you interact with Sampy or the Sites, such as the products or services you view or share; how you interact with us, Partners, and friends; and the pages and other accounts you follow on social media.

As you use the website, certain anonymous information may be passively collected (that is, gathered without you explicitly providing the information), including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, operating system, browser type, the address of a referring site and your Site or Software activity. Your Internet browser may, for instance, using small files called “cookies,” automatically transmit anonymous information to us, such as the date and time you access the Software or various Sites. We use such information to better understand how you interact with our services, while monitoring traffic to our services, with the aim of improving our services. This information is not treated as personal information unless we combine it with or link it to any of the personally identifiable information mentioned above. While you may be able to disable cookies with your browser, doing so may affect Sampy functionality.

INFORMATION SHARING & DISCLOSURE

We will not transfer your Personal Information to third parties without your permission, except for the following.

We share with our Partners anonymized statistics pertaining to the types of users using the Software and Sites and their general behaviour. We may also share your name, city-level location, shipping address, age and gender, social media IDs such as Facebook ID and Twitter handle, email address, phone number, and information on your participation in any campaigns, offers and newsletter subscriptions with any current Partners at their request.

In addition, we may send your Personal Information to other companies or people under any of the following circumstances: when we have your consent to share the information; or we need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested; or we need to send the information to companies who work on our behalf (who are not Partners) to provide a product or service to you. We will only provide those companies the information they need to deliver the service, and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.

We may also transfer your Personal Information without your permission to the extent required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (i) conform to the edicts of law or comply with legal process served on us; (ii) protect or defend our rights or property; (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety, property, or privacy of our employees, users, or members of the public; or (iv) affect a transaction, restructuring or proceeding that transfers to a third party the assets or line of business to which the information pertains.

CHANGING OR DELETING YOUR INFORMATION

You may review, update, correct, or delete Personal Information by contacting us. Please contact us should you desire a change, and we will strive to accommodate your request as quickly as possible if we do not have any legal obligation to retain the record. See below for contact information.

DATA SECURITY

Your Personal Information is protected for your privacy and security. We safeguard the security and confidentiality of your data using physical, technical, and managerial procedures. Please be aware that, despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

BUSINESS OR ASSET TRANSFER OR SALE

Sampy may be sold, might sell or buy businesses or assets of businesses, or Sampy might merge with another business. Normally, in the instance such transactions, user information is one of the transferred business assets.

In the event that Sampy, a line of business of Sampy, or substantially all the assets of Sampy are transferred as part of such a transaction, your information may well be one of the transferred assets. Where and as required by law, Sampy will make reasonable effort to provide notice on Sampy and to notify you via email to the most recent email address that you have provided to Sampy of any such change in ownership or control of your Personal Information.

PROTECTION OF MINORS

Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to register for, or use, Sampy.

UPDATES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may change this Privacy Statement. Please take a look at the "Effective Date" at the top of this page to see when this Privacy Statement was last revised. If we were to make a material change (the kind of change to the way we use your data that might make you reconsider participating in this panel) we will notify you at the most recent mailing address or e-mail address we have on file and we will provide you with access at least 30 calendar days prior to its implementation, giving you time to unsubscribe if you want. You may view the currently effective Privacy Statement at any time by checking the Privacy Statement posted on this Site. Your continued participation with our website after the effective date of any changes will constitute your acceptance of all effective changes.
